Principal - Francis Milloy

Is a Scottish born and raised, New York City based architect , lighting designer, urban designer and artist with over twenty years experience working in the field of the built environment.

He has made significant contribution to the design and construction of award winning architectural and lighting projects in North America, Europe, The Middle East and Asia.

His previous lighting design experience includes six years with Speirs and Major Associates in the UK, two years with Brandston Partnership, two years with Tillotson Design Associates and two years with One Lux Studio, all in New York City, USA.

He has also practiced as an architect and urban designer in the USA and UK, with Michael Sorkin Studio/Terreform, Andrew Merrylees and Make Architects.

During his time at Speirs and Major Associates, Mr. Milloy was project lead for The National Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg, Sweden, The Rail Interchange and TTS of Heathrow Terminal 5 Airport in London, UK, and The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Exterior Lighting in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Other notable projects include 510 5th Avenue Renovation in New York, USA; Raffles American School in Johor, Malaysia; The New York Public Library Renovation Project in New York, USA and La Cite de la Democratie in Gabon, Africa.

He has exhibited as an artist in both the US and UK and is currently a Part-time Faculty member for the MFA Lighting Program at Parson's New School for Design.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Architecture from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture from the University of East London and a Master’s Degree in Urbanism from City University of New York.

He is a professional member of the Architect’s Registration Board in the UK, The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and The Royal Institute of British Architects.

Key Staff

Sean Casey

Sean Casey is an award-winning designer working at the intersections between form, material and light. He has extensive experience liaising with clients, complex design teams and dealing with all phases of a project from concept development through to construction.

His lighting design experience includes 6+ years as a designer at FMD, a Partner/Principal of Vancouver, Canada-based render light & planning and as a Project Manager with Integral Light Studio. 

Sean has a broad range of experience with educational, cultural, residential, tower and retail projects throughout North America, including the Wilson School of Design, Adler University, Polygon Gallery, Thunder Bay Art Galley, The Exchange, One Burrard Place, Kettner & Ash, Canadian flagship offices for CB Richard Ellis and a master design and specification for the global retailer Kit and Ace.

Jasmine Lee

Jasmine Lee graduated in Dance at Yeongnam University in Korea in 2017. While leading and performing within a dance troupe called “Moving Channel,” she began to develop her strong interest in lighting through numerous dance performances in Korea and invited international performances.

After graduation, her architectural lighting design experience started in 2017 with lighting design studio SAAD in Korea. She has been a collaborator at FMD since early 2019, where she has been assisting on University of Florida, Wertheim Laboratory, St, Thomas Aquinas Artwork and Private Residence, CT.

She is currently attending the MFA lighting design at Parson School of Design in New York, is interested in various arts-related to light as well as architectural lighting. She is currently working on a project about human emotions and light.
